The envelope of a language
A language is characterized by its band-width.
It is a question of simplifying the height of the generated sounds (harmonic) which constitute it. French mobilizes our capacity of analysis between 1000 and 2000Hz, English is spread out between 2000 and 12000Hz.

Conditioning by the mother tongue
In the first days, the ear of the child is exerted by the listening and the reproduction of the sounds and the rhythms of its linguistic environment.
Its ear thus specializes at the frequencies of the mother tongue and remains "closed" to those which do not form part of it.

The ear of a Russian is opened with a large band-width, which gives them a great facility for the languages.
In fact, the gift of languages is no other than the capacity more or less sharpened to perceive the whole of the sounds and the rhythms, in order to be able to reproduce them without loss nor distortion.
